Dr. Vikram Shah, Founder, Chairman and Managing Director of Shalby Hospitals, a chain of 15 hospitals in India, was conferred the ‘Healthcare Personality of the Year Award 2023’ at the 15th Edition of FICCI Healthcare Excellence Awards ceremony held on October 26, 2023 at Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi. The ceremony was graced by Ms Sharmila Tagore, Film Personality as the ‘Chief Guest.
The award was presented to Dr. Vikram Shah by Mr. C K Mishra, Former Secretary, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India and Co-Chaired by Dr Harsh Mahajan, Chair, FICCI Health Services Committee and Founder & Chief Radiologist, Mahajan Imaging & Labs.
The award recognizes Dr. Vikram Shah’s valuable contribution and exemplary work in the healthcare sector. He is a world-renowned joint replacement surgeon and visionary healthcare entrepreneur who has performed more than 1,25,000 joint replacement surgeries, which is the highest in the world. He has also innovated OS Needle & Zero Technique, which have revolutionized joint replacement surgery. Dr. Vikram Shah and Shalby Hospitals have been felicitated with more than fifty national and international awards for their excellence in healthcare.
