The Future of Indian Litigation: Why LiA Is the Premier AI Tool Every Advocate Needs

Pune, (Maharashtra), [India]: In the complex ecosystem of the Indian judiciary, a single litigation file can span hundreds of pages, making document review one of the most time-consuming and exhausting aspects of legal practice. For today’s Indian advocates, the challenge is no longer just understanding the law, but efficiently processing vast volumes of case material. Addressing this long-standing problem, Rest The Case (RTC) has announced the launch of LiA, an AI-powered legal assistant designed specifically for the needs of Indian legal professionals.

Unlike general-purpose AI tools that struggle with lengthy Indian court filings and often lose context after a few pages, LiA allows advocates to upload original case PDFs of up to 90 pages in a single instance. This enables lawyers to process detailed petitions, long-form contracts, and complex judgments without fragmentation or loss of accuracy. By generating structured, legally sound summaries in seconds, LiA significantly reduces the time spent on manual file reading and allows advocates to focus on legal strategy, research depth, and courtroom advocacy.

A key concern surrounding the use of AI in legal practice is the risk of inaccurate or fabricated information. LiA addresses this by treating the uploaded document as the sole source of truth. Every output generated by the tool is grounded strictly in the content of the original PDF, with direct source references that allow advocates to instantly verify facts and assertions. Additionally, LiA is trained on Indian laws, legal terminology, and procedural frameworks, ensuring contextual relevance that global AI models often lack.

Rest The Case has built its reputation around simplifying legal access and creating structured systems for legal work. With the launch of LiA, the company is extending its mission beyond facilitation to building the digital infrastructure that powers modern Indian law offices.

“For an Indian advocate, time is the only truly non-renewable resource,” said Shreya Sharma, Founder of Rest The Case. “LiA is not just a productivity tool. It is a practical necessity for lawyers who want to scale their practice without compromising on accuracy, research quality, or professional diligence.” she added.

LiA’s current summarisation capability marks the first phase of a broader product roadmap aimed at creating a fully digital chambers ecosystem. Future enhancements will focus on integrating case law research, automated drafting of legal documents, timeline generation from unstructured case files, and case management tools tailored specifically to Indian litigation workflows.

To encourage early adoption and empower the legal community, LiA is currently available for free for a limited period. This initiative allows advocates to experience firsthand how artificial intelligence can reduce administrative fatigue, streamline legal workflows, and enhance overall efficiency in legal practice.

By addressing the challenge of information overload in litigation, LiA underscores a shift in how legal work will be done in India moving away from longer hours and heavier files toward smarter, technology-enabled practice.
