India @ 2047 Summit & Awards 2026 at IIT Delhi Brings Together Visionaries to Shape India’s Roadmap Towards a Global Future

New Delhi, [India] 25 August 2026: WBR Corp successfully hosted “India @ 2047: Leadership, Innovation & Global Power” at IIT Delhi, New Delhi, bringing together thought leaders, academicians, entrepreneurs, innovators, healthcare professionals, corporate leaders and changemakers for a forward-looking dialogue on India’s journey towards its centenary of independence.

The summit was built around a defining national question: What must India do today to realise its full potential as a global power by 2047? Combining thought leadership, high-level discussions, recognition and networking, India @ 2047 provided a platform for distinguished voices from diverse sectors to exchange perspectives on the ideas, capabilities and reforms that will influence India’s development over the next two decades.

Dr. Shashi Tharoor Headlines the Summit

The occasion was graced by Dr. Shashi Tharoor, Member of Parliament, acclaimed author, former international diplomat and prominent public intellectual, as the Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker.

Drawing upon his experience across diplomacy, public policy, international affairs, literature and governance, Dr. Tharoor addressed the gathering on India’s evolving position in the world and the leadership, ideas and institutional capabilities required as the country moves towards 2047.

Currently serving his fourth term as Member of Parliament from Thiruvananthapuram, Dr. Tharoor is Chairperson of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on External Affairs and has previously served as Minister of State for External Affairs and Minister of State for Human Resource Development. Before entering Indian public life, he spent nearly three decades with the United Nations, eventually rising to the rank of Under-Secretary-General.

His presence added significant intellectual depth to a forum examining India’s future through the interconnected lenses of leadership, innovation, education, economic progress and global engagement.

Distinguished Leaders Share Their Vision for India @ 2047

The Leadership & Innovation Forum featured speakers representing diverse professional disciplines and sectors, including Maj. Hemendra Kumar Singh (Retd.), CFP®, Corporate Vice President; Dr. Shailendra Pandya, Child Rights Activist and former Member of the Rajasthan State Commission for Protection of Child Rights; Mr. Aditya Shukla, Director – The Narayani Foundation, PRM United Nations; Mr. B. V. J. Basker, Managing Partner, Innovative Pest Control; Dr. Sridhar Danteti, Founder & Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Sridhar Hospital; and Mr. S. T. Prashantha Kumar, Senior Partner, Fox Mandal.

The forum also featured SLP Sanjay Kumar, Founder & Director, Sanjay Speech Hearing & Rehabilitation Center; Dr. Gajanan Anand Jadhao, Founder & Director, LA Densitae Clinic Limited; Dr. Na’eem Sadiq, Founder, Plexus Neuro and Stem Cell Research Centre; Mr. N. Collectively, the speakers brought perspectives from leadership, higher education, healthcare, scientific research, entrepreneurship, law, social development, innovation and communication sciences.

Education & Future Skills Take Centre Stage

A key conversation at the summit was the panel discussion on “India @ 2047: Vision & Policy Roadmap for Education & Future Skills.”

The panel featured IIT Prof. Anushree Malik, Retired IIT Prof. Veena Choudhary, SLP Sanjay Kumar, IIT Prof. Suddhasatwa Basu and Dr. Gajanan Anand Jadhao.

The discussion explored how India’s education and skills ecosystem must evolve to prepare young people for a rapidly changing global economy. Themes included future-ready education, employability, artificial intelligence, interdisciplinary learning, industry-academia collaboration, innovation, entrepreneurship, mentorship, communication, creativity and critical thinking.

The session highlighted the need to move beyond conventional education models and create an ecosystem that equips students with the skills, adaptability and global outlook required for the future.
