From Legacy to Innovation: Tanishq Gupta’s MARQA Disrupts Industry With Lab-Grown Diamonds

New Delhi, [India], March 5th, 2025: In the bustling lanes of Delhi, filled with generational jewelers selling dreams crafted in precious stones, Tanishq Gupta is writing a different story. Tanishq is a third-generation jeweler who founded MARQA with his vision of transforming India’s diamond industry. Through his quality lab-grown diamond jewellery  in Central Market, Lajpat Nagar, he aims to make this luxury accessible to everyone.

Lab Grown Diamonds

Lab-grown diamonds are original diamonds created by mimicking the Earth’s natural diamond-forming process in high-tech reactors. They are physically, optically, and chemically the same as mined diamonds and are certified by the same prestigious institutions, such as IGI and GIA. These sustainably created diamonds cost up to 90% less, making good-quality diamonds accessible to everyone. This aligns with Tanishq’s vision of making quality diamond jewellery accessible, as all diamonds from MARQA are certified.

Experience and Expertise

Tanishq’s relationship with precious stones and metals returns to his childhood memories of playing with diamonds at his father’s desk. Born and raised in a family that sells jewelry and gemstones, Tanishq is a third-generation jeweler. He combined his childhood interest in jewelry with formal expertise gained through his degree at Indiana University in marketing, product design, and technology. Encountering lab-grown diamonds, Tanishq saw a range of opportunities and pursued trading and manufacturing.

To combine his industry insights with expertise about the product, Tanishq pursued Diamond Graduate Certification from GIA and finally founded his retail brand of lab-grown diamonds, MARQA, in 2024.

Inclusivity and Quality

“MARQA is a brainchild which took almost half a decade to come to life. It is a manifestation of deep research, three generations of industry experience, and a dream for revolution in my industry,” says Tanishq, founder of MARQA. He adds, “The brand embodies timeless, affordable luxury made for the discerning consumer. Our motto is – never say no. Whatever has held you back from getting your dream jewelry piece made, MARQA removes all roadblocks. Welcome to the Future of Luxury.”

As a result, the brand focuses on providing practical and well-crafted jewelry pieces at fair prices.

Vision For MARQA

Tanishq’s vision for his brand goes beyond just sales. “Diamonds are forever. For everyone, every day,” he states, challenging traditional industry trends. “At MARQA, we’re not just selling diamonds; we’re creating an experience that values transparency over presentation, knowledge over authority, and sustainability over wastefulness. The modern Indian consumer deserves both quality and accessibility.” The brand focuses on inclusivity and sustainability while promising quality.

In Central Market, Lajpat Nagar, MARQA represents the amalgamation of multi-generational expertise and forward-thinking innovation. It’s where heritage meets disruption, luxury becomes accessible, and diamonds shed their status as symbols of exclusivity to become everyday expressions of elegance. For Gupta, this isn’t just business evolution – it is a revolution in making diamonds accessible to all.
