G-TEC Introduces ‘My Credits’—Bridging Skill Education & NEP Credit Framework

Kozhikode, [India], February 27th, 2025: G-TEC EDUCATION, the world’s largest IT education network, has launched the revolutionary ‘My Credits’ Project in association with Medhavi Skills University (MSU). This initiative integrates industry-linked courses with credit points into the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC), a key component of India’s National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

The ‘My Credits’ project is designed to align micro-credentials and skill qualifications with academic credits, allowing students to gain G-TEC EDUCATION’s short-term skill certifications under NEP norms. With this strategic collaboration, students can now accumulate credits for their skill-based education, making higher studies and career development more accessible.

Landmark MoU Signing

This transformative project was formalized through an MoU signed between Pravesh Dudani, Founder and Chancellor of Medhavi Skills University, and Mehroof I Manalody, Founder, Managing Director, and Chairman of G-TEC Group of Institutions. The signing ceremony was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Dr. Sajeev Kumar S, Vice President of MSU, and Mohasin Tahasildar, Awarding Body Director.

Medhavi Skills University, a leading participant in NEP 2020, is known for its academic-industry integration and is an NCCER-accredited awarding body. As an anchoring university of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), MSU will enhance G-TEC’s skill certifications, ensuring national recognition and higher acceptance for higher education and employment opportunities.

New Opportunities Through the ‘My Credits’ Project

With this collaboration, G-TEC’s programs, including ICT, academy courses, ITES, corporate training, skill development, and job-oriented programs, will now be integrated into the National Credit Framework (NCrF). This initiative will enable students to earn portable and stackable skill credits, which can be stored in the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC).

By aligning with NSQF and NHEQF standards, this initiative will create industry-relevant skill certifications within a year, making students job-ready in today’s evolving industrial landscape.

Leaders Speak on the Future of Skill-Based Education

At the event, Pravesh Dudani and Mohasin Tahasildar highlighted the impact of NEP 2020 on education, emphasizing the growing demand for industry-linked courses and the crucial role institutions like G-TEC play in bridging skill gaps with professional, skill-oriented education.

G-TEC CMD Mehroof I Manalody stated, “This strategic association is a milestone for both G-TEC and Medhavi Skills University. It will provide students with skill-integrated education, a deep understanding of modern technologies, and international certification opportunities.”

Celebrity Endorsements and Future Prospects

Popular film actors Govind Padmasoorya and Gopika have been announced as Project ambassadors for the ‘My Credits’ project, further boosting its reach and appeal.

With 1,50,000+ students every year, with more than 2.8 million alumni, across 800+ centers in 23 countries, G-TEC continues to shape the future of skill development. This MoU ensures that G-TEC’s government-approved, job-oriented courses will now be seamlessly integrated under MSU’s skill-based educational ecosystem, opening new career opportunities for students nationwide.

This initiative marks a significant step in reshaping higher education and skill development in India through the collaborative efforts of Medhavi Skills University, G-TEC, and the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020) under NACRAF.
