Ahmedabad, (Gujarat) [India]: GIIS Ahmedabad successfully held the second edition of IDEATE 2.0 on 16th December 2023, showcasing the innovative and creative skills of the students. IDEATE, which stands for innovation, design, expression, art & creative, technology, and engineering, featured a wide array of 21 competitions including music, technology, fashion, art, electronics, and many more.
Schools from pan India including Gujarat, Mumbai, Indore and many others took part with more than 300 participants from kindergarten to senior category; showcasing their talents and skills in various fields. The event provided a platform for students to express their creativity and innovative ideas, while also fostering a spirit of healthy competition.
The opening ceremony of IDEATE at GIIS Ahmedabad kicked off with an electrifying display of dance performances, setting the stage for a day filled with innovation and creativity. The event was inaugurated with Ganesh Vandana by grade 1 and 2 students followed by a welcoming performance by senior students for the participants. Both performances were captivating as the students set the tone for the event, inspiring the audience and participants to think outside the box and push the boundaries of their imagination. The colorful and dynamic display of talent created an atmosphere of excitement and anticipation, as everyone eagerly awaited the start of the ideation and innovation activities.
The chief guest at the event Mr. Mahesh Mehta, Secretary, State Project Officer, Education, Gandhinagar, praised the GIIS initiative behind IDEATE 2.0 and stated “It was a commendable effort to uplift creativity and innovative skills among the students. He emphasized the importance of such events in nurturing young minds and preparing them for the challenges of the future.”
The principal of GIIS Ahmedabad Mr. Caesar D’silva also expressed his delight at the success of ceremony, adding to it he said, “It was heartening to see the enthusiasm and talent displayed by the students. He highlighted the importance of encouraging creativity and innovation in education and commended the students for their hard work and dedication in making the event a grand success.
IDEATE 2.0 was a resounding success, showcasing the immense talent and potential of the students at GIIS Ahmedabad. The event not only provided a platform for students to showcase their skills but also served as a reminder of the importance of nurturing a holistic approach through creativity and innovation in education.
