Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India]: Director Sumit Kumar Singh, the founder of Mumbai-based agency Market Chanakya, was awarded the Outstanding Achievement in Media Award by the Mumbai Educational Trust (MET) on March 24th. The award ceremony was attended by high-profile guests such as former Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Chhagan Bhujbal, renowned lyricist and poet Javed Akhtar, actor Swapnil Joshi, Shailesh Lodha,  Josy Paul, Mrs. Vishakha Bhujbal and Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal.

Singh is a well-known personality in the media industry, with over 14 years of experience in IT, broadcast media, financial services, new-age business development, and consulting. He has directed numerous TV shows, documentaries, corporate films, and advertising commercials. In addition to his successful career, Singh has also initiated the largest social initiative program in India, known as “The Warrior Expedition 32/26,” which is supported by the Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force, and Indian Coast Guard. As part of the program, Singh is traveling with his team over 127,000 km to deliver lectures with the Armed Forces commanding officers at over 2000 colleges across India, motivating Indian youth to join the Indian Armed Forces.

In a recent interview with the media, Singh expressed his optimism for the future of the Indian media and entertainment industry, which is expected to reach $30.9 billion by 2024. He cited statistics showing the growth of smart-connected TVs, digital media, filmed entertainment, and the Animation & VFX segment, which is expected to reach $2.2 billion by 2024. Singh emphasized that the upcoming time is very bright for students who are serious about their careers in mass media.

Market Chanakya, founded by Singh in 2015, started with a three-member team and has since expanded to employ over 25 top advertising and tech consultants across India, operating from Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, and Delhi. The agency provides a range of services, including media buying, TVC, IT, digital marketing, digital advertising, video production services (Bollywood films, ad films, corporate films, documentary films), video post-production services, PR, creative design, music distribution, website and software development, and online marketing services.

Overall, Director Sumit Kumar Singh’s contribution to the media industry and social initiatives in India has been remarkable, earning him the Outstanding Achievement in Media Award from the Mumbai Educational Trust.
