Infusing Joy in Learning’ Conference by ARISE, IAAT, and FICCI Brings New Insights into Transformative Education

In celebration of National Education Day, the conference brought educators together to explore innovative, engaging approaches for today’s classrooms

New Delhi, [India], 28th November 2024: On the occasion of National Education Day, ARISE (Association for Reinventing School Education) in collaboration with FICCI ( Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry) hosted a seminar on the topic The “Infusing Joy in Learning” curated by IAAT  a not for profit organization founded in 2014, by Harvard University alumni. IAAT has over the years built a relevant and rigorous practice-based model for teacher education in the country. The seminar brought together a distinguished lineup of school principals, academic heads and education leaders who interacted with global education experts from Havard University, USA and Liverpool Hope University, United Kingdom who presented transformative insights into using play-based learning and technology to shape more engaging, student classrooms.

The conference showcased an array of visionary perspectives, including those from Mara Krechevsky, Research Director at Harvard’s Project Zero; Yvonne Liu-Constant, Professor of Education at Harvard University; and Ward Mailliard, Chairman of the Education Committee at Mount Madonna School, USA. They emphasized the role of play and technology in fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and student agency, crucial components in reimagining the future of education and encouraged all the attendees to contribute to the sector.
