SpiceJet Kicks Off Holi Celebrations with a Splash of Colour and Dance!

Crew’s ‘Balam Pichkari’ Brings Festive Cheer to Passengers

Gurugram, (Haryana) [India], March 13, 2025: SpiceJet has set the tone for Holi festivities with a burst of joy, music, and tradition at Delhi Airport! Passengers on select flights were greeted with a dazzling surprise – a specially choreographed dance performance to the iconic Holi anthem ‘Balam Pichkari’, performed by the airline’s spirited crew inside a stationary aircraft. This vibrant tradition, a hallmark of SpiceJet’s festive spirit since 2014, transformed the onboard experience into a colourful celebration of India’s festival of love and joy.

The festivities began as passengers boarded, with crew members welcoming them with a traditional Chandan Teeka on their foreheads, instantly spreading smiles. The lively ‘Balam Pichkari’ dance, performed with infectious energy before the aircraft doors closed for departure, had passengers clapping and cheering. To top it off, everyone savoured a complimentary serving of Gujiya, the quintessential Holi sweet, adding a delicious touch to the celebration. Safety remained paramount, with the performance carefully executed in the stationary aircraft while the doors stayed open.

Debojo Maharshi, Chief Business Officer, SpiceJet, said, “Holi is a festival that paints the world with happiness, and at SpiceJet, we are thrilled to kick off the celebrations with our signature ‘Balam Pichkari’ performance. Our incredible crew turned the aircraft into a stage of joy, blending music, dance, and tradition to create an unforgettable experience for our passengers. We are proud to celebrate India’s vibrant culture with this burst of festive cheer – wishing everyone a Holi filled with colour, love, and safe travels!”

This annual tradition reflects SpiceJet’s commitment to blending fun with responsibility, ensuring passengers not only fly but also feel the heartbeat of India’s festivities. From the warm Chandan Teeka welcome to the rhythmic beats echoing through the cabin, SpiceJet has once again proven that the skies are brighter with a dash of Spice this Holi season.
