MYBYK expands last-mile connectivity for Mumbai Metro commuters using Line 2A and Line 7

India’s largest and most successful shared active mobility service MYBYK is easing Mumbaikars’ first and last-mile connectivity hassle by expanding its bicycle feeder cum rental service to the new Metro Line 2A and Line 7. The service will help daily commuters with door-to-door connectivity plying along Metro Line 2A which operates between Dahisar and DN Nagar, and Mumbai Metro 7 which will operate from Dahisar to Gundavali.

With an effort of bringing together different forms of transport services in a single mobility service, also popularly known as Mobility as a Service (MaaS), MYBYK will soon be integrating and offering its rent-a-bicycle service on the Mumbai Metro Common Mobility Card and app.

Speaking about the development, Arjit Soni, Founder, MYBYK, said, “We at MYBYK are elated to provide Mumbaikars with a reliable, round-the-clock bicycle feeder service to ease their daily first and last mile connectivity while using Mumbai Metro. Our expansion is in line with MMRDA’s mission of sustainable, green, and environment-friendly commuting. We at MYBYK furthermore pledge to support Mumbaikars with seamless micro-mobility by keep expanding our rent-a-bicycle service to all the upcoming Mumbai Metro stations.”

Interestingly, MYBYK entered Mumbai with its rented bicycle program for the first time after winning the pilot project for Mumbai Metro Line 1 through the Station Access and Mobility Program (STAMP) 2019 challenge initiated by Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA).

Sustainable means of transport, i.e. bicycle is not feasible for long-haul trips. Moreover, dependency on public transport like buses and rickshaws for short distances within the city keeps Mumbai snarled up with traffic. Coming as a respite to both, MYBYK’s sustainable, micro-mobility service is popularizing increasingly across the country. Its Daily, Weekly and Monthly Unlimited subscription plans bring down the cost of first and last mile connectivity to less than Rs. 20/day.

With Unlimited Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Long Term plans, MYBYK offers its subscribers the flexibility to take the bicycles to their home/office. Thus, if the distance is short, they can travel end-to-end on the bicycle. In cases of long distances, they can ride the bicycle from their home to the nearest metro station, avail the metro to their desired station, and then unlock another MYBYK from there to reach their destination.
