Twelve Skaters of LXT United Club selected for Asian and World Roller Skating Championships TRIALS

Pune (Maharashtra) [India]: 12 players in the age group of 15 to 26 years from LXT United Skating Club (Pune and Mumbai) have been selected for the upcoming Asian (China) and World Roller Skating Championship (Argentina). An announcement was made by Director and Coach of LXT Club, Rahul Rane, Anil Pednekar (AIRSS) and Ajay Shivlani (TSA) at a press conference. Players selected for the Trials were also present on the occasion.

Before qualifying for the Asian and World Roller Skating Trails, the player will appear for Trials in Mohali, Punjab from April 19th to 21st for the Asian Championships and from April 29th to May 1st. for World Championships. The club’s Chaitanya Aphale recently left for Mohali for a selection test.

While talking about the preparation of the players, Rahul Rane said that “making a player physically fit is a long term process. We plan the training accordingly with a period of eight to ten years in mind. We give them cardio muscular and vascular muscle exercises while gym training, and to increase strength and stamina we ask them for cycling and swimming. Whether it is a race or a selection test, it is important to maintain the mental strength of the children so in mind training session, we train the athletes to focus on race strategy, study of the opponent in the race as well as reality check and final execution.

The following skaters are eligible.

Durga Mirajkar (Youngest Girl), Sukrut Vaidya (Youngest Boy), Anish Birnale, Anay Jalan, Smeet Sapariya, Aarya Juvekar, Apurva Kulkarni, Khushi Shah, Sneha Taishete, Samruddhi Shinde, Atharva Kulkarni, Chaitanya Aphale. We wish them all the best for Trials and wish they get selected in Indian team for the Trials.
